About me
I am a post-master student realizing a project of internship in cosmology called "Uncovering the three-dimensional cosmological tidal field", under the supervision of Martin Kilbinger and Calum Murray.
Research Interests
My research deals with the science of galaxy surveys. I am focusing on the intrinsic alignment of galaxies which corresponds to the correlation between the shapes of the galaxies across the sky due to the surrounding matter tidal field in which they formed. This is a systematic effect for weak gravitational lensing surveys that it is necessary to understand and to model properly in order to probe dark matter and dark energy in the Universe, in particular thanks to the observations of the Euclid satellite.
While previous analyses have used two-dimensional shape correlations of galaxies to estimate the intrinsic alignment signal, the aim of my internship is to uncover information about a third dimension, the alignment signal perpendicular to the line-of-sight, to understand more completely how galaxies respond to the surrounding large-scale structure of the Universe.
Education
I obtained my Master's degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Paris Observatory in 2024. During my Master, I realized a research internship about the science of Euclid galaxy surveys at the "Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie" at Toulouse under the supervision of Isaac Tutusaus. For 2024/2025, I am a post-master student at Paris-Saclay University in professional gap year during which I continue to work on the same field of research in cosmology by undertaking a long research internship.
